Electrician Kedron
Kedron is a post-war suburb sitting either side of a creek that floods. Both facts shape the electrical work: original 1950s wiring reaching end-of-life, and switchboards that need to sit above a flood height nobody planned for when they were installed.

Post-war housing stock on a flood-prone creek
Kedron is roughly seven kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD — comfortably inside the area we cover from the Yeerongpilly workshop, and a suburb we're on regularly. Most of the housing stock went up between the late 1940s and the 1960s, which puts the original electrical installation somewhere between sixty and eighty years old.
That age shows up in predictable ways. Rewireable fuse boards with no RCD protection. TPS or, in the oldest homes, rubber-insulated cabling that has gone brittle in the roof space. Two or three power circuits carrying loads the house was never designed for. None of it is dangerous the day you move in and all of it is a problem eventually.
The second factor is Kedron Brook. Homes in the flood corridor have a specific set of requirements — switchboards and sub-boards mounted above flood height, outlets raised where practical, and a clear process for Energex isolation and reconnection after inundation. We've done a lot of this work across Brisbane's flood-affected suburbs, including our own, and the approach is the same here.
Where we work: We're based in Yeerongpilly and cover Greater Brisbane — roughly 25km from the CBD, north side included.

Four things that come up on nearly every Kedron job
Kedron Brook flood corridor
Homes and businesses in the brook's flood corridor need switchboards mounted above flood height, not at the 1955 default of knee level. After inundation the installation needs testing and re-certification before Energex will reconnect. We handle the relocation, the remediation, and the paperwork that gets the power back on.
1940s–1960s wiring at end of life
Kedron's post-war homes were wired for a fridge, a stove, and a few lights. Sixty years later they are running air conditioning, induction cooking, home offices, and EV chargers off the same two or three circuits. Rewires here are rarely optional by the time we're called — they're overdue.
Gympie Road commercial trading hours
The Gympie Road corridor runs shopfronts, professional suites, and allied-health practices near The Prince Charles Hospital. None of them can afford a weekday shutdown. Switchboard upgrades, lighting replacement, and fit-out work get scheduled after hours or overnight so the doors open on time.
Ducted A/C retrofits into low-set homes
Retrofitting ducted air conditioning into a low-set post-war home means a dedicated circuit and, often, a supply upgrade the existing board can't take. We assess the board and the supply before anyone quotes the ducting — finding out afterwards is how a straightforward install turns into a surprise.

These suburbs don't have their own page yet. That has nothing to do with whether we service them — they sit inside the same radius and the same daily run.
