Architectural Homes

Specialist electrical for Brisbane's architecturally designed homes. We work alongside leading architects and interior designers to deliver concealed wiring, layered lighting, smart home integration, and the fine-detail craftsmanship that high-end builds demand.

Trusted By

Working With Brisbane's Best Architects

We partner with leading architectural practices on their most demanding residential projects. The collaborations result in homes where the electrical design is as considered and refined as the architecture itself.

Inaspace Architecture

Long-standing partnership delivering electrical to premium residential and commercial projects across Brisbane.

Our Approach

Electrical Built Around the Architecture

Architect-led collaboration

Architect-led collaboration

We come on board at design stage and work alongside your architect, interior designer, and lighting designer. Coordination meetings, switchboard sizing, circuit planning, and cabling routes are all worked through before anything is roughed in. Earlier involvement prevents the costly rework that comes from electrical being treated as an afterthought.

Layered lighting design

Layered lighting design

Task, accent, ambient, and feature lighting designed in layers to bring out the architecture. Pendant installations, dimmer circuits, LED strip integration in bulkheads and joinery, recessed downlights specified to the right beam angle and colour temperature. We work with designer fittings (Volker Haug, Mr Ralph, ISM Objects, Articolo) or commercial-grade architectural specifications as the project requires.

Concealed cabling & fine detail

Concealed cabling & fine detail

Architectural homes don't tolerate visible conduit or careless penetrations. Cable runs are coordinated with the joiner and stonemason at rough-in so everything is concealed inside bulkheads, pelmets, joinery, stone benches, and feature walls. The result is invisible electrical that lets the architecture do the talking.

Smart home & automation

Smart home & automation

Full smart home control across lighting, climate, audio, blinds, and security — designed and commissioned to match how the household actually lives. We work across C-Bus, Clipsal, Dynalite, Casambi, and Google Home / HomeKit integrations. Cabling is run during rough-in so the system is invisible at handover.

What We Cover

Scope across an architectural project

From the first set of design drawings through to handover, the electrical scope on an architectural home runs across every stage of the build. The patterns we work to:

New architectural builds

Full electrical from supply coordination with Energex through rough-in, fit-off, smart home commissioning, and final handover. Switchboards sized for current load plus future EV, solar, and air conditioning growth.

High-end renovations & extensions

Architect-led rewires and additions integrated with the broader build program. Coordination across builder, joiner, stonemason, interior designer, and lighting designer so trades don't collide and finishes stay clean.

Heritage architectural restorations

Queenslanders, Art Deco, and post-war character homes brought up to modern electrical performance without losing the architecture. Concealed wiring through VJ walls, original pendants restored, modern circuits hidden inside heritage fabric.

Lighting design & specification

Layered lighting plans developed with your designer — pendant placements, downlight beam angles, dimmer scenes, LED strip integration, art and feature lighting. Specifications confirmed before order to avoid lead-time issues.

Landscape & pool-zone lighting

Path, garden, façade, water-feature, and pool-zone lighting designed in coordination with the landscape architect. Wet-area work compliant to AS/NZS 3000, with low-voltage and IP-rated fittings selected for Brisbane's climate.

Smart home commissioning

C-Bus, Clipsal, Dynalite, Casambi, and Google Home / HomeKit setups configured, scenes programmed, and the household walked through how to use the system. Documentation supplied for the home manual.

What to Expect

How an architectural project runs with Jentech

01

Design-stage consultation

We come into the project alongside your architect, ideally before drawings are finalised. Switchboard sizing, circuit count, lighting design, smart home cabling, and supply requirements are all worked through up front.

02

Coordination with the design team

Joint meetings with the architect, interior designer, and lighting designer. We provide input on what's achievable, where set-out matters, and any compliance considerations that affect the design.

03

Scoped quote with itemised inclusions

Detailed scoped quote covering rough-in, fit-off, smart home commissioning, and any landscape lighting. Every fitting, circuit, and stage described clearly so the design team and client can sign off with confidence.

04

Rough-in coordinated with trades

Rough-in once the frame is up, before gyprock. We coordinate cable routes with plumber, HVAC, joiner, and stonemason so concealed runs land where they need to and nothing collides.

05

Fit-off, commissioning & handover

Designer fittings installed with care, smart home programmed, every circuit tested and energised. Certificate of Electrical Safety issued, system documentation supplied for the home manual, and the household walked through how to use the controls.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work directly with our architect and interior designer?
Yes — that's the way most of our architectural projects run. We come on board at design stage, sit in on coordination meetings, and provide input on switchboard sizing, circuit count, lighting design, smart home cabling, and supply requirements. Earlier involvement avoids costly rework later in the build.
Can you read and work from architectural drawings?
Yes. We work from architect-issued drawings, lighting layouts, and electrical schedules. Where the documentation is light, we'll prepare our own working drawings and check back with the design team before rough-in. Set-out is taken from the architect's reference points so fittings land precisely where the design intends.
What lighting brands and control systems do you specify?
Whatever the project calls for. We work across designer fittings (Volker Haug, Mr Ralph, ISM Objects, Rakumba, Articolo), commercial-grade architectural fittings, and full smart home control systems including C-Bus, Clipsal, Dynalite, Casambi, and Google Home / HomeKit integration. Specifications are confirmed with the lighting designer or interior designer before order.
Can you handle concealed wiring in feature ceilings and joinery?
Yes — concealed cable runs through bulkheads, recessed pelmets, joinery, stone benches, and feature walls are standard on architectural builds. We coordinate routes with the joiner and stonemason at rough-in so cabling is invisible at handover.
Do you do landscape and pool-zone lighting?
Yes. Layered landscape lighting — path, garden, façade, water-feature, pool-zone — is one of the things that lifts an architectural home from finished to extraordinary. We design and install in coordination with the landscape architect or designer, with all wet-area work compliant to AS/NZS 3000.

Planning an Architectural Build?

Whether you're working with an architect on a new build or a high-end renovation, the electrical needs to be planned alongside the architecture — not added later. Get in touch early and we'll work into the design process with your team.
